94-98 Mustang Cluster Connector Pinouts

94 and 95 cluster pinouts are compatible with each other. 96 and 97 cluster pinouts are compatible with each other. 98 cluster pinouts are compatible with the 96 and 97 clusters, except for two pins.

Note that 98 clusters can be used in 96-97 cars and vice versa, but if you do swap across those years, you must swap pins C250-14 and C250-15 in the car's wiring harness in order to make it work. 96-98 clusters can be used in 94-95 cars and vice versa, but you will need to swap all of the different pins described above to get it to work.
* Note that, in the 98 Mustang Helm Manual, ground and power are swapped in the pinout description, but are actually not swapped relative to the 96-97 clusters. The 98 Mustang Helm Manual mistakenly calls C251-1 "GND" and calls C251-5 "Illuminated Lamp Feed", but they should be the same as the descriptions for the 96-97 clusters.
** Note that the 98 Mustang clusters have the Low Oil light and wiring that the older clusters have, but the 98 cars do not have the low oil sender that the older cars have in the oil pan. The 98 Helm Manual says that C251-11 is not used.
