This kit includes an electronic calibration unit, four test clipleads and two reference resistors. The reference resistors are used for calibrating the fuel level gauge and the engine coolant temperature gauge.
Download the detailed instructions for calibrating the voltage gauge and the oil pressure gauge. The calibration unit provides signals that can be used to calibrate the speedometer and tachometer. The user must have access to a well regulated 12 volt power supply such as a charged vehicle battery. A good voltmeter is optional but helpful.
The calibration kit has been tested on 1994-1998 Mustangs, although it should work on most vehicle instrument clusters of that vintage and possibly older. We are looking for owners of other Ford models and other makes who can help us verify that it works with other instrument clusters. Please
contact Accutach if you would like to help us to verify if our calibration unit will work with your instrument cluster.
